CITY OF BROTHERLY UGHS
A skin-deep survey
Ever feel like an ugly duckling among the beautiful (and possibly surgically-enhanced) swans of Southern California? Forget cosmetic surgery– to feel better about your appearance, all you need to do is visit Philadelphia.
In a survey conducted by Travel + Leisure, readers ranked Philadelphians as the least attractive out the citizens of 25 major cities examined. Long Beach didn’t qualify as one of the major cities, but L.A. makes the list and has the sixth prettiest citizens in the country. Not as pretty as San Diego (no. 2), but prettier than San Francisco (no. 7). L.A.’s greatest distinction, however, comes on the list of which cities have the most intelligent citizens. Los Angeles ranks dead last.
