Ink-N-Iron promoter Trace Edwards has another festival in the works: the Showcase of Kustoms & Motorama, which he estimates should bring more than 15,000 custom car fans to the Long Beach Arena, Marina Green Park, and the Rainbow Lagoon, the weekend of Sept. 24-26, 2010.

This may not have been quite the caper Rachel Powers had in mind when she wrote her recent District piece, “How They’ll Blow Up the Port of Long Beach,” but I guess a man smuggling in a 1920s-era machine gun–through the Port–will have to do.
