With three Democrats to choose from–and no Republican candidate–we still don’t have a winner in the 55th Assembly District race
Local website LBPost.com asked an interesting question on its website yesterday, as voters headed off to cast their ballots in the 55th Assembly District race:

Maybe it’s not quite accurate to call 55th Assembly District candidate Warren Furutani’s campaign a juggernaut–after all, this time last year he ran exactly the same race against then-Sixth District Councilwoman Laura Richardson and was sent packing. (That was a juggernaut.)

Warren Furutani, the Democratic Party’s now-officially endorsed candidate for Laura Richardson’s vacant 55th Assembly District seat, has what he admits may be a cheeky plan to improve air quality–if he’s elected, and if they let him.

One man–one candidate–stands out after last night’s 55th Assembly District candidates forum, and he’ll probably lose the race.

Keep your eyes on the pack of eager beavers lining up to run for Congresswoman Laura Richardson’s empty 55th Assembly District seat–which has been somewhat unassembled since Richardson was elected to Congress on Aug. 21 and left the Assembly.
