Tomatoes have long been considered a “superfood,” but The Daily Mail reports on a new study that says the fruits could be even better for us than we thought.
Says the study:

The title says just about all anyone really wants to know about this thing: yes, it’s a cheeseburger in a can. Yet another disgusting example of freak food, sure, but I for one welcome the coming canning of all foods–I’ll take my steak frites in its own juices, please.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the USDA has struck a deal with Monsanto that gives farmers in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Minnesota an insurance break if they plant Monsanto’s genetically modified corn seeds. The deal is supposed to help out farmers who are being crunched by high corn demand–via feed, fuel, hell, maybe even tortillas. [...]
