The P-T today updates readers on  the ongoing encroachment battle on Alamitos Peninsula, making sure to note that “The Press-Telegram previously reported that the commission had launched a probe into the situation.”
And that’s true.
But that reporting only came after Dave Wielenga broke the encroachment story here in The District.

Long Beach officials are aware many Peninsula residents have built out onto the public beach. They just don’t do anything about it.
