Rainy Saturday ArtWalk at Broadlind Cafe: There’s adorable Abraham Lincoln art on the wall and coffee brewing behind the counter and, before us, Moedog Darling (aka Marisa Predisik) just a girl with a guitar—or, on some songs, ukulele—and a soft/sweet good-time voice. “Velvety” comes to mind, and I almost write that down. But no . . . it’s tights. If there was a sound equivalent to pulling on a pair of black tights over freshly-shaven legs, hers is it. (Bonus greatness: hit her up on MySpace—myspace.com/moedogdarling—and ask about her Christmas tunes. “Free,” she says, “because it’s Christmas.”)
