When someone stole Jenny Stockdale’s wallet at Trader Joe’s in October, she did everything she could to help Long Beach police catch the person—identifying the woman on surveillance videotapes, finding her car, even discovering her fondness for to-go pancakes at IHOP. Long Beach police thanked Stockdale and told her she was a good victim—then, later, told her that she was a bad victim. Why hasn’t the woman been arrested yet? That’s a good question.
