Yogurtland

Some say that trends cycle through our minds every 17 years or so, and with Southern California locked in yet another frozen yogurt fad, that calculation seems just about right. But due to Pinkberry and all the other fruit-related spinoffs, it’s hard to figure out which places are actually good and which are just trendy shops hocking hip-to-be-seen desserts. Thankfully, Yogurtland doesn’t disappoint. There are 16 flavors spread through the shop’s self-serve yogurt line, but the New York cheesecake is the best, hanging onto the same sweet, cream cheese tartness as its real-life cousin. As with any frozen yogurt machine, two flavors can easily be mixed together to create an even better frozen treat. Yogurtland adheres to that rule of two, pairing the New York cheesecake with the equally excellent cookies and cream. With these flavors combined, Yogurtland churns out something far more satisfying than the plain and green tea combination from Pinkberry, which, I’m sure I’m not the first to say, looks and tastes disgusting. Yogurtland also sells its swirls of yogurt for 30 cents per ounce, so get as little or as much as you like. Just don’t hold up the line if I’m behind you.
