Everything about the Park Bench Café is friendly: a simple eatery in the middle of Huntington Central Park (the biggest one in town) that serves easy meals for breakfast, lunch and those hungry times in between. You’re not going to find anything unexpected at the café, but it’s hard to find something you won’t like—the menu for each meal has dozens of options. For breakfast, there are huge burritos and wraps and health-conscious items, too. Those with a sweet stomach can order the cinnamon roll French toast, a sugary meal good enough to go down during any time of the day, breakfast, dessert or otherwise. Lunch follows suit with about 25 different sandwich and burger options that range from the now-obligatory veggie burger to a deep-fried Monte Cristo. Best of all, however, is that the place is pet-friendly. Not only is it allowed for your dog to be along for the meal, but by now it’s practically encouraged, with the café hosting regular fund-raisers for animal rescue groups. The place even goes so far as to serve up some canine cuisine, with boneless, skinless chicken and other treats to feed your friend.
