John Carpenter’s seriously scary and incredibly gross remake of the ‘50s sci-fi horror classic features Kurt Russell headlining an ensemble cast of grumpy, hairy dudes. They’re a group of arctic researchers who are forced to contend with the arrival of a shape-shifting monster from outer space that wants to infect them and turn them into shape-shifting monsters, too. Even by the standards of shape-shifting monsters from outer space, that’s just plain rude.
