When they’re not being set upon by vandals, Long Beach parks―El Dorado, Recreation, Heartwell―are among the best in the country. To protect them, the city has a number of ordinances: no swimming or bathing, no posting handbills or advertisements, no camping in undesignated areas. If you want to make sure you’re within proper park behavior, you can always fly a kite, so long as it doesn’t come within 100 feet of a bike path.
