Officers were dispatched to what sounded like a grisly event: a mid-day car accident involving a woman in a wheelchair. But upon arriving at the scene, police couldn’t find any signs that there had been an accident. Instead, officers were approached by a man who said that he was robbed by a nearby youth. Police found the kid and discovered that he may have been working towards an early Mother’s Day present, as his mom, sitting in a nearby wheelchair, helped orchestrate the robbery.

Patrol officers spotted a man standing in the middle of the street, his hand clutching something—presumably a weapon—stashed around his waist. When police approached the subject he, of course, booked it, all but forcing a pursuit. Once the man was in custody things got more suspicious when a 911 call reported a stabbing just around the corner. Additional officers couldn’t find anything of the sort but did find that the caller reporting the stabbing was a neighbor of the man in custody. Apparently unaware of the fact that squad cars have room for two, the neighbor admitted to falsely reporting the stabbing in hopes that the arresting officers would be distracted enough to let his friend go.
