Police received a terrifying tip just before 4 p.m.—a resident reported some serious concern after seeing an elementary school-aged child being held down in an alley by a couple of middle-aged women. According to the caller, the kid didn’t look to be in distress, but was also completely naked. Police followed up on the tip and found that the nudity had a parental purpose—the child was being hosed down after a sandy day at the beach.

A fine Friday of fishing was ruined for a group of men after an altercation broke out in the early evening. The men were piled in the back of a black truck, lines bobbing in the water, when a car drove up to them and flashed its brights. That was an act the fishermen didn’t take lightly—they jumped out of their truck and ran after the car, punching the hunk of metal as it drove off. In related news, a man was stabbed in the face while fishing at the marina two days later. He declined to file a report.
