Strange Trip

UNKNOWN LOCATION
LONG BEACH | WED | MAR 19 1:01AM
Police picked up the phone just after midnight to a woman asking them to trace her call. But just like the movies, the call was disconnected before they could do anything. Officers couldn’t reconnect with the woman but found out that she was somewhere in Long Beach and that the phone was registered to a man from Cerritos. When police got hold of the phone’s owner, he informed them that his phone was stolen three days ago and hadn’t been cancelled. Scarier for the Cerritos man, however, was this: He didn’t know anyone in Long Beach.

An early evening drive started to turn into a strange trip when a man on his way home from work noticed a light blue Mercedes keeping pace alongside his car. It surely seemed like just a coincidence at first, but eventually the two men caught each other staring at one another. The man in the Mercedes then broke the pair’s little stalemate by flashing a badge and motioning for the uneasy commuter to creep off the road. But when nothing happened, the man in the Mercedes dropped his badge and threw up his middle finger, finally leading the commuter to the realization that the man wasn’t a cop after all.
