Nobody’s quite sure of their motives—perhaps they ran out of nighttime minutes—but two teens were arrested for allegedly stealing a batch of cell phones. Reports say the teens worked in tandem, with one distracting victims while the other swiped phones from pockets and purses. When their tag-team tactics failed, however, the teens reportedly resorted to some rather mysterious weaponless methods. So mysterious, in fact, that the victims were not able to describe how the teens made them cough up their phones, except to say the thieves intimidated them with a bunch of teenaged “hard looks.”

A young woman and man were locked in a particularly violent domestic spat in the early morning hours. The man—presumably the woman’s boyfriend—reportedly had been attacking the woman with his fists and random objects. The woman attempted to break out from the residence several times only to be restrained by the man. It wasn’t until she actually did escape and flag down patrol officers that the man had the good manners to let her go—and steal her car.
