BUY CURIOUS: BIKE RACKS AND BROWNIES

Do you want it? Or need it? Depends.

Whether your home is a third-floor studio apartment or a house with a two car garage, you never quite have enough room for storage—especially when it comes to bikes. They’re bulky, they fall over, they might even break up your relationship (third-floor dwellers, I’m looking at you). A cramped living space can leave you feeling frustrated and claustrophobic (and ugly!), which is precisely why Delta Design Company’s Leonardo single bike hook is such lifesaver: simple in design and lightweight, the bike hook mounts with two screws onto a stud on your wall. From there, you hang your bike vertically from the front tire. Saves space, looks very cool. An optional but recommended accessory is the adhesive back tire plate, which prevents tire marks on your wall. Beware, however, those heavy mountain bikes-might be time to trade in for a 10-speed. Also, beach cruisers can look a bit ridiculous when hung from your wall. Then again, they look ridiculous in the kitchen, too. It’s your move. $14.99. I didn’t like brownies as a kid. Something about the texture-too squishy, too mushy. Those spongy chunks cut right from the middle of the pan were always such a disappointment, though I have since grown to be a sucker for the crunchier, hardened edge pieces. In recent years I even baked entire pans of brownies, only to nibble around the edges and leave the remnants for wandering, ravenous roommates. But now I find salvation in the Baker’s Edge Brownie Pan. The strange shape resembling a twisted Tetris block was designed so that each and every brownie bar will contain an edge piece. Now all I have to worry about is my boyfriend devouring the entire pan before I get a chance. $34. AVAILABLE ONLINE AT BAKERSEDGE.COM // C.P. MASTERS
