The playwrite Harold Pinter’s response to his Nobel Prize in 2005 includes, “There are no hard distinctions between what is real and what is unreal, nor between what is true and what is false. A thing is not necessarily either true or false; it can be both true and false.”

What’s the reason I cannot find a review in the District Weekly of the current run at the Garage Theater of two classic one-acts from him? I’m going anyway. It runs through May 17 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights. Sure, I’ve seen them before. So I know how they end. But ignoring his stuff takes a bigger-than-your-average act of denial. Whashoppenin?
