BEER & BONNIE & TONIA & GABRIELLA & MICHAEL … & THE LAKERS?

A week before the California Primary–for those of you keeping score at home, that’s June 3–the four principal candidates seeking the 54th Assembly District seat that Betty Karnette has been keeping warm will make their cases to the voters–or the drinkers, anyway–tonight at the monthly Beer & Politics forum sponored by the Long Beach Junior Chamber of Commerce at Gallagher’s Pub (2751 E. Broadway, Long Beach).

The yackfest among Democrats Tonia Reyes Uranga and Bonnie Lowenthal (colleagues on the Long Beach City Council) and Republicans Gabriella Holt and Michael Jackson begins at 7 p.m.  But come an hour earlier and you can catch the start of the Lakers’ playoff game against the San Antonio Spurs, get a head start on the beer-hoisting–and on the two-for-one burgers special, too. Or start boning up now for the Q&A session with this backgrounder from LBReport.com.
