Also Tinariwen plays Sat. at Temple Bar. Should be cool. Like when Konono No. 1 played Knitting Factory. Tinariwen are nomads from the Sahara desert that posed with Danelectros amid the sand dunes at least once I think I remember. (I think on an album cover.) This is probably their first L.A. show and like second U.S. show ever. Entrance and Fingerprints and many people are big fans. You should go. Also if you like the idea of electric guitar music from Africa get this LP (which I know for a fact was sitting right at the front of the rack in Fingerprints on Tuesday, and which I also know is sold out at the label, so…) and there’s another one out I don’t have yet.
