It’s never too soon to plan for the weekend. Per the District inbox:

Bank of America will host a free outdoor Family Movie Night event for Long Beach families featuring DreamWorks Animation’s OVER THE HEDGE™. The family-friendly event will take place at Alfredos Beach Club in Long Beach on Friday, June 20th. This is the fifth of eight free outdoor movie screenings that Bank of America is hosting at various locations throughout the Los Angeles area in May and June to celebrate the renovation of area banking centers and the company’s long history in the movie industry.

Guests will receive free concessions, such as popcorn and soda, as well as free giveaways, while supplies last. Pre-movie activities include a visit by “Po the Panda” from the soon-to-be-released DreamWorks Animation KUNG FU PANDA™ movie (in theaters June 6, 2008). Attendees can also get their photo taken with Po the Panda and enjoy other surprises.

Alfredo’s Beach Club is located at 5411 Ocea Blvd. The event runs from 7-9:30pm.
