CHECK OUT HOWLIN RAIN TONIGHT??!?!

Many thanks to Katie + Robert @ Que and Jonny from Crystal Antlers for implentmentizing circumstances encouraging this bizarrely awesome show: Howlin Rain is Ethan from Comets On Fire (greatest human rock band of the west) and Joel from Drunk Horse (also greatest human rock band) doing some Deep Purple/Doors + CCR heavy chooglin’ rock with keys and they are on tour with Black Mountain, greatest human rock band of Canada—but for this and only this night tonight they detach from the podmother and visit Que Sera! They rule a lot and this is one of those shows you fear to miss, like when Black Mountain played Koo’s (or Booby Trap or where was it that one April?) or when Lavender Diamond played Booby Trap, which was adorably memorable.

Also on the bill is CB Brand, who are from Echo Park and do perfect country rock that everyone who was at Paperplanes last weekend should come see, and Crystal Antlers, who are Howlin’s spirit buddies, and then True Human Design and the West who I will be experiencing for the first time in my life myself tonight.

Anyway—$5 at Que at 9 sharp cuz so many bands and so few hours to cram ‘em into. Go to it! Below is a song from the original incarnation of Howlin Rain, since much robustified for the sake of your dissolute pleasures.
