Canadians are, as a general rule, nice. Even the Canadian postal service is nice. Canada Post doesn’t just accept children’s letters to Santa, it has Santa write the kids back. Every year, Canada Post sends Santa form letter replies to the kid’s letters– and to give the replies a personal touch, volunteers write a personal postscript on each letter. But this year, some of those PS’s are getting unpleasantly personal.

“P.S. This letter is too long, you dumb shit,” was Santa’s personal message to 2 year-old Maya Da Costa. As for her 10 year-old brother Colton, Santa wanted him to know, “Your Mom sucks dick and your Dad is gay.” Eight other Santa letters with similar PS’s have also been reported.

Canada Post is officially “shocked and heartbroken”, and the Santa letter program has been shut down until postal inspectors and the Ottawa police can track down Canada’s most uncanadian PSer.

Despite this ugly turn, let’s take this opportunity to wish our frozen cousins in The Great White North a Merry Christmas. Now everybody sing:

He knows when you are sleeping,
He sees you every day,
He knows just what your mother sucks,
And if your dad is gay.
