After an impressive two-week run, the original District Weekly Reader Forum met an early grave today, District Weekly officials reported.

“Anybody who visited it could tell you that it was ugly, slow, grumpy, and had lots of pimples,” said webmaster Jeff Gould. “If it could’ve been persuaded to stop eating Oreo shakes and french fries for every meal it might have been salvaged–might have gotten a date with a kindly, older content-management system just out of her second failed marriage and just looking for someone who would appreciate her. Well, we don’t live in a world of maybes, and so we have a new forum.”
