TUES DEC 15 According to the Employment Development Department, unemployment in Long Beach has decreased from 13.9 percent to 13.4 percent, so I guess that problem is solved. Actually, that’s a staggering number. It means that more than 50,000 adults in Long Beach can’t find work. What’s more—less—it also means probably as many people are what they call underemployed, working at jobs that don’t provide enough in the way of wages or benefits. And then there’s another 50,000 who would really like to ask out Stacey because she’s hot, but she kinda seems like a bitch when she gets around her friends, especially about a little thing like a pee stain. I mean it’s nature, am I right? Hmph, damn economy.

WED DEC 16 One of the effects that unemployment and a generally weak economy have had on the United States has been to slow the flow of immigrants and minority groups. In fact, the Census Bureau says that whites will remain in the majority in the US until 2050, eight years longer than previously projected, so that gives us nearly another decade to get our bunkers dug out and stocked. Anybody know where I can get my hands on some nuclear-resistant three-bean medley? This must be very welcome news to Cal State Long Beach psychology professor Kevin MacDonald, who has been accused of being a white nationalist owing in part to the fact that he writes stuff like this on VDARE.com, a white-nationalist Web site: “I have developed the argument that Jewish activity collectively, throughout history, is best understood as an elaborate and highly successful group competitive strategy directed against neighboring peoples and host societies. The objective has been control of economic resources and political power. One example: overwhelming Jewish support for non-traditional immigration, which has the effect of weakening America’s historic white majority.” Funny, I always thought what weakened the white majority was the collective guilt in regards to slavery, Indian genocide and the inexplicable success of Jim Belushi.

THURS DEC 17 In other stupid white people news, Michelle Mowery, the bicycle coordinator for LA’s Department of Transportation, was asked by LA City Councilman Bill Rosendahl why the city lags behind Portland when it comes to bikes. She said: “With all due respect the city of Portland is 450,000 people. It’s a homogeneous community that is very white, and very progressive with respect to transportation. . . . We are a very diverse, disjointed city of 4 million people. . . . Granted, several of us would like to see a lot of changes in the city happen very quickly, but again we have a very diverse city with a lot of needs.” And, by changes, I imagine Mowery was talking about the reverse pigmentation camps we spoke of at the last meeting. . . . What? Oh, um, forget I mentioned that. Um, yeah, white people and bikes. Look, with all due respect, Ms. Mowery, Long Beach is roughly the size of Portland—actually about 50,000 people bigger—with a white population of only 32 percent and yet the city has vowed to become a national leader in cycling. We’re not pedal perfect, but we’re ahead of Los Angeles. And as for being “progressive with respect to transportation,” yeah, last time I checked the HUUUUUGE majority of people who use buses and trains in Southern California were not white. No, the white folks are the dicks who don’t merge until the last second. Also, they start wars.

FRI DEC 18 In You Knew This Was Coming news, City Manager Pat West removes former development czar Craig Beck from his position and puts him in business operations in the Gas and Oil Department, a move that will reduce his salary way back to $140,000. This means that Beck taking that discounted room from a lobbyist was not only unethical but also really stupid. Beck was making $176,000 a year, so that room ended up costing him almost $40,000. That for a discount on a room that I don’t believe was $200 to begin with. It just goes to show that it’s always the rich folks who are the ones looking for discounts or, as my mom would always say, “How do you think they got rich?” And then Kevin MacDonald would put his head in the door and say, “The Jews!” Man, that got old.

MON DEC 21 LBPost.com is reporting that the Long Beach Armada, the minor league baseball team in town, is ceasing operations. And so the Armada joins a long list of failed professional baseball teams that couldn’t make it: the Breakers and the Barracudas, the latter of which changed their name to the Riptide and then went out of business anyway. There’s also been the hockey Ice Dogs and the basketball Stingrays and the Jam, who I’ve been told are still around but not with Paul Weller so, you know, what’s the point? What’s interesting about a lot of these teams is that they don’t necessarily go out of business of their own choice. The Stingrays were a women’s basketball team that reached the finals of the American Basketball League playoffs in their final season, but then the entire league folded. Likewise, the Breakers won the Western League championship in 2000 but, again, the whole league went out of business in 2001. Apparently, the Armada is being pushed out of their home park of Blair Field by a third party that wants to take complete control of the facility, and the name of this financial juggernaut? Cal State Long Beach. That’s right, the school that can’t stay open five days a week and has toyed with shutting down its phone system to save money is putting the financial smackdown on someone else. None of this make sense. What’s that Kevin MacDonald? You say that baseball is America’s past time and the majority of Americans are white and therefore the people who would want to end baseball and have the resources to do it are . . . Oy!
