Zombie Roller Babes Motorcycle Massacre
Until just a few months ago, the notion of Long Beach ever having its own roller-derby league seemed unfathomable (mainly, we hear, because the city wasn’t too keen on the idea of bad-ass babes on roller skates). But with the help of Moxi Rollerskates’ Michelle “Estro Jen” Steilen, a league has officially been launched. Tonight’s soiree promises to be fun (costumes are mandatory) and, well, hot (that whole thing about bad-ass babes on skates), but it’s also for a great cause: all proceeds from the door will go toward helping the LBRD score a place for bouts on their home turf.
