Last Sunday, the people behind the Long Beach Sunday Market opened the gates to Longfellow Elementary and hosted the first of many weekly Sunday gatherings, where children were free to roam the playground and shoppers could find produce from Fruitos Farms, Gama Farms, Has Apples, Launa’s Honey, Ann’s Bakery and much more. Plans for the future include adding more vendors, hosting a juried craft fair and workshops and, eventually, a big-time grand-opening celebration. Pick up some sweet potatoes and leeks to go with your turkey leftovers. Yum!
