Saturday’s iteration of Long Beach Heritage’s Loft Walk 2009 features the historic 1925 Cooper Arms complex, built by Mr. L.C. Cooper as upscale housing for the business class—and still all business 84 years later (well, except the Grand Salon or the nicely situated solarium with views of all Long Beach. Those are all fun). Only the telephone prefixes have changed: they all used to be HE-mlock—and as recently as the ’90s, some still were.
