‘A DEMENTED RECORD COLLECTOR’S DREAM’
Steve Propes uses his column on LBPost.com to alert us to a story by Louis Sahagan in the Los Angeles Times that alerts us to an exhibit at the Los Angeles gallery Syncronicity Space that beginning March 13 will alert us to the forgotten world of vintage religious record albums—most of which come from the collection of Don Bolles, drummer for the Germs. Propes adds his own, particularly local perspective to the whole shebang, recalling the days when Bolles lived in Long Beach in a house across from the police station off the Traffic Circle that Propes remembers as “a demented record collector’s dream.” He oughtta know.
