FOX IN BOX ON ROMNEY FALLING STOCKS

Early election results suggest there’s hope for the GOP

It’s still early–just 8:15 p.m. on Election Day–and California’s not yet counted, but John McCain is killing it in Red State primaries. At this point, Romney’s won  Massachusetts, Minnesota, Utah and the nearly unknown American province, Northern Daquota. McCain, meantime, has called it in Arizona, Oklahoma, New York, Delaware, New Jersey, Illinois, and Connecticut.

You’ll know the McCain performance is kickass if you’ve been watching Fox News during this primary season. Official News Organ of the Republican Party, Fox has done it’s best to spin the rumor mill on McCain whilst banging the gong for Romney–a replay of the 2000 primary when Fox worked overtime to promote George W. Bush.

Has Fox lost its touch?

Sure am gettin' tired of the TV heads tellin' me I voted for Obama 'cuz I hate the wimmens. And that If I'd voted for Hillary, it woulda been because I didn't like the the black folks.

    Can't I just like a candidate because he's/she's/it's the one I like?

    Just askin' is all.

No, the Democratic party is clearly divided equally between its racists and its misogynists. Choose your hate, then your candidate!

Romney pulled out today, and while CNN is handling that story, Fox is discussing the far more important disappearance--what, a year ago?--of that woman in Aruba. The most fascinating media watching now will focus on Fox and right-wing talk radio. Will they fall in line to support the Republican candidate, conveniently ignoring their criticisms of McCain? Or will they talk about missing women?
