Into this:

That’s what Manhattan Beach-based architect Peter DeMaria does.

CurbedLA has the story yet again–this one-bedroom, one-bathroom house has a 680 square foot interior, an 800 square foot exterior and is made from two shipping containers, concrete and wood.

i saw a show on dwtv showing how in germany they have made all kinds of buildings out of old containers, its a great idea for long beach

This could be the answer for many of Long Beach's housing problems!!! Are they bullet proof? How about fire proof? How many bums fit in them?

this is forward thinking. why doesn't the city of long beach hire the architect for some real solutions like this one instead of talking about solutions - he's less than ten miles away and from what I've researched on the web, he's got multi-family, commercial, educational and even a church designed and constructed with containers.

This was a great article, check out the video interview of DeMaria that was just released by www.gliving.com . Absolutely, "foreward thinking" !

    Go to: http://gliving.tv/videos/

and scroll down to the videos, click on DeMaria/Room 101.
All of Long Beach should watch this video ! Great work District Weekly for breaking this story months ago.
