IN FOOD NEWS: RACHAEL RAY, MIRACLE FRUIT

The Boston Globe reports on Rachael Ray’s apparent terrorist sympathies displayed in an ad for Dunkin Donuts (above) in which she dons a keffiyeh-like scarf. Michelle Malkin, opponent of all meals 30 minutes and all days $40, led the charge to pull the ad:

‘‘Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant and not-so-ignorant fashion designers, celebrities, and left-wing icons.’’

In future news, Malkin boycots her stomach over supposed ties to Dunkin Donuts.

Meanwhile, the New York Times devotes a lengthy article to miracle fruit, a West African berry that temporarily alters your tastebuds. Eat a berry and things turn into dessert: lemons taste like candy, stout beers like chocolate shakes. Look for miracle fruit to be shipped to Waffle Houses nationwide.
