This year the Veteran’s Day Parade has added something special to its line up. City staff, community leaders, and residents are all invited and encouraged to be a part of the 1st Annual Freedom Walk. The walk will be the official “finale” of the parade.  The walkers will follow the parade route from Atlantic and Harding out and back to return to the official ceremonies held at the Vietnam Memorial in Houghton Park.  See attached for press release and application.  Walking is free, or $10 for those interested in purchasing a shirt to wear in the parade.
