On here salary, she could afford at least 1 home, but to default on 3 at a time. Sounds like the greedy getting arrogant to me. Why would I vote for this person to make fiscal choices for me! As for feeling my pain, try raising a family of 5 on a single income in Long Beach. Yes it's tough, but I still manage to pay my bills, It's called priorities! Apparently, she thinks she can operate above the law.

Yeah, Matthews would never allow himself to get caught in something like this. He's aiming for bigger payoffs and no slipups. Richardson seems so incompetent that even we can keep track of her crookedness. This election will only decide WHO screws us and if you want it in the dark or with the lights on.

Vote for Peter Mathews on June 3rd. He's a strong candidate and would never get himself involved in a mess like this.
  • Marshall
Does anyone know whether an independent could enter the congressional race and be on the November ballot? It seems we would all be served better by a strong candidate who could challenge Laura this year.

Looks like she took a purely business-like approach to the situation. What's best for her, and screw everybody else. Very business-like.

"In fact, Richardson said the experience has allowed her to relate to the thousands of other Americans -- including many in her district -- confronted with foreclosures. She said she wants to testify before Congress about it."

Spare me the standard politician, "I feel your pain" b.s. She failed to make payments on three houses, instead she paid for political campaigns. Now she has a pension for life, health care, jobs post-elected career for lobbyists, but she can relate to other Americans. Bullshit. I hope if she does testify before Congress that they grill her ass off. I feel sorry for Jenny Oropeza who lost to this scumbag.

The fact she financially overextended herself is what's wrong. Like a typical politician, she blames everything else but herself.
