A LITTLE MORE ON TODAY’S P-T REPORT ABOUT LOWENTHAL SQUABBLE

The intense confrontation involving Second District City Councilwoman Suja Lowenthal, her husband Superior Court Judge Daniel Lowenthal and a member of Suja’s staff last Thursday on the 14th floor of City Hall—reported in today’s Press-Telegram—was actually a discussion of private-public partnerships. Well, kinda-sorta.

A source close to the situation tells The District that Judge Lowenthal accused the staffer of abetting and concealing alleged romantic affairs by Councilwoman Lowenthal on city-paid time—which the Judge suggested was an improper and unethical use of taxpayer money.

According to P-T reporters Tracy Manzer and John Canalis,  police were called to the City Hall’s 14th floor (where the mayor and councilmembers have their offices) because of a heated argument among the Lowenthals and the staffer.  An investigation is continuing.

    FYI to all: I didn't vote for the Fool-ja because I was able to see easily through her glossy, plastic veneer.....

    Seems like there's way too many Lowenthals in power in Long Beach, especially when they're taking over entire floors of City Hall with their sordid family squabbles.

    I suppose even politicians and judges are sort of human.
    Nothing worse than venting private matters in the public spotlight.
    Not good moves on either of there parts.

    the real problem with that clan is, not one of them as ever seen a tax increase they wouldn't vote for.
