MISTY MAY-TREANOR MAKES THE LONG BEACH HALF OF OLYMPIC HISTORY

 

Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh are undeniably the greatest women’s beach volleyball tandem in history after winning their second consecutive Olympic gold medal today in Beijing with a straight-set 21-18, 21-18 victory over China’s Tian Jia and Wang Jie. The duo put the finishing touches on their preparations for the Olympics with a victory at the AVP Long Beach Open in July, their second straight win in as many years of that tournament, too.
