Tim Burton’s oddball comedy fave about that strangely lovable, idiot manchild Pee-Wee Herman (Paul Reubens) and his cross-country, quixotic quest to find his stolen bike. The film takes us back to the days before the porn theater thing and before the “erotic art collection” bust and all that, back before we knew Pee-Wee was a perv and when he still just really, really seemed like one.
