With just days left until Anthem magazine’s annual Coachella pool party, I dropped by Lola to pick up a cute summer dress—no way am I going to be caught in a bathing suit at a house full of models. There were some really cute prints there (naturally) but what caught my eye (and my purse strings) was this parrot necklace. Now, I don’t know if parrots are “in” right now—owls, deer, jelly fish, who can keep track?—but you really can’t go wrong with a parrot: it’s timeless tropicalia. The metal parrot hangs on a (fake?) gold chain, and the bird has a teensy rhinestone for an eye. Simple and cute—take that, model ladies! I’m sure it will go just lovely with my potato sack. $16.
