PINSTRIPERS HO!

The guys at Dice magazine–probably the best mag out there for fans of skinny-tired, Metalflaked ’60s- and ’70s-style choppers–threw a weekend bash at the Starlite Room vintage emporium on Fourth Street to mark the debut of their new book.
Which isn’t exactly an accurate term to describe the re-publication of their first four issues in a softcover book, but it’s close. Dice is a digest-size magazine, the result being that sometimes the best pictures run across two pages with a seam in the middle. The book lets you actually see the photos–a great idea, as they’re very good.
Special added attraction: if you showed up Saturday, you got a chance to rub elbows with a bunch of Sinners–including Alonzo, Chopper Dave, Dustin and Noah–and a coupla visiting Japanese pinstripers: Makoto and Mister G, who is pictured above doing what it is that he does. And there was a line-up of bikes on Fourth Street that included Chopper Dave’s Superfreak and Noah’s F.T.W. bike. (We all know what that stands for.) More photos on the artist Coop’s blog.
