SMALL WALKOUT AT CSULB!
About an hour ago I saw 20-30 students marching loudly past the library towards the AS building. A lot of them had ANSWER LA posters and banners with pretty standard slogans: end imperialism, veterans against the war, etc. A lot of them were chanting “WALK OUT OF CLASS” or something, one of the onlookers muttered to a friend “Damn, I’d love to be able to walk out of class”. If you’re like him and missed the walkout don’t lose hope, peace dudes, this is all leading to up a big protest in LA Saturday at noon, on Olympic and Broadway (prev link for more info).
Also: a woman sitting across from me (total stranger) just got a phone call. When she hung up she said to me, in a panic, that she just found out her house was on fire and she scrambled to get her stuff, half panting, half sobbing. This fire is intense, here’s hoping the best for everyone affected by it.
