Bouchees Bistro—possibly best ascendent restaurant in Long Beach—is now offering a SUNDAY BUBBLY BRUNCH (or some similar name; I did not lift menu for fact-checking as I left) with sparkly wines for corner-cutters/slow risers but the colossal draw is of course a chance for Bouchees omelettes, Bouchees pancakes and special Bouchees breakfast burgers—special Bouchees breakfast burgers! I have already reserved joyous moral fervor more suited to a successful child-in-the-well rescue for the lunch-and-dinner Bouchees burger and even one morning a week to try the kind of angelic breakfast despots enjoy daily abed delivers me one last and durable reason to open the door in the morning. Bouchees rules. Excited. Also confidential to E.H., C.C., P.H., O.I. and S.D.: six more days a week for me to mess up cooking dry toast so I will still visit you, too.
