EDWARDS: MIND CONTROLLER?

I get text messages from John Edwards about once a week thanks to Twitter, the (probably) doomed to extinction micro-blogging service. Without the inclination to stop the messages, I’m doomed to get more of these, probably exponentially more as the primaries loom. About six months ago, when I first joined Twitter, subscribing to Edwards’ blog was an afterthought. His twitter was on the front page and I didn’t know the subscription included texting me at all hours of the week. Whatever.

But here is my point: when I signed up for his blog, voting him was the farthest thing from my mind. Now, provided he doesn’t fumble or send me “u just got hit w a SNOWBALL lol fwd this to 10 friends and ill win iowa”, he’s got my vote. I tell myself that I’ll vote Edwards because he’s the only candidate Republicans are afraid of, but I wonder if his texts managed to coax me. Might I be one of many victims of John Edwards’ massive twitter brainwashing campaign? Readers: Maybe you’ve been brainwashed too??

Hurray! I don't know why you were not thinking of voting for Edwards originally but I can imagine. My kids friends keep telling them "John Edwards is the conservative one, isn't he?" It must be the unfortunate resemblance to Supreme Justice Roberts. I tell them to reply, "No, he's the substantive one. Go to the website and get his detailed proposals on the environment, education, the economy, health care, and corruption in government."

Rebecca "Commie Girl" Schoenkopf declared early for Edwards:
