Do voters love landlords?

Coming this spring to a voting booth near you: a ballot initiative that would kill rent control in California. It’s basically a retread of the anti-eminent domain initiative that voters rejected last year, but this time it would also nullify rent-control ordinances.

Apparently backers of the initiative feel last year’s effort failed because it just wasn’t skewed enough in favor of Them that’s got.
