New owners, almost all smiles

In case you haven’t been following along at home, here’s coverage of yesterday’s joint press conference by Save the Queen officials–the development consortium which bought the lease to operate the Queen Mary and 64 acres of surrounding land–and the City of Long Beach.

Depending on whose account you start with, photos from yesterday’s press conference aboard the ship begin with either developer Jeff Klein (LBreport.com) or Second District Councilwoman Suja Lowenthal (Press-Telegram) nearest the camera.

There’s also a P-T editorial, which seems to go a little easy on the ship’s most recent operator, Joe Prevratil–but maybe that’s just me. Enjoy!
