Could Hillary really do worse than Bush?

While you were reading Jon Pareles’ blog on the CMJ Music Festival or watching Boston beat Cleveland in the American League final, Republican presidential contenders on Sunday night’s Fox News-sponsored Republican debate revealed the real threat facing America: Hillary. You had to wonder if they were joking: Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee predicted that if Hillary is elected, “taxes go up, health care becomes the domain of the government, spending goes out of control, our military loses its morale.”

Or we could just skip the expensive election process, keep Bush in the White House and get the same thing.

Huckabee concludes: “There’s nothing funny about Hillary Clinton being president.” But, Mike: irony’s very funny.
